Energy transition in the new risk reality

The energy trilemma – security, sustainability, and affordability – creates more important challenges in today’s geopolitical situation than maybe ever before.

The aim of the Oslo Energy Forum is to establish dialogue directed at finding solutions to the dilemmas every part of the energy industry and the society around it are facing to accelerate the energy transition. At the Forum, this dialogue will include senior decision-makers in industry, finance, authorities, research, international organizations, and civil society. We will focus on how to turn risks into opportunities through sustainable solutions.

Day 1
The focus for day 1 – taking place in the Oslo City Hall – is to set the scene for an open and honest discussion. We will address and search for the key challenges of the energy transition in the new risk reality we’re living in.

Day 2
Day 2 – in the locations of the new Munch Museum – goes more in depth about the dilemmas we face, be it among energy producers, the finance sector, industry, politics, or among society leaders. What are the barriers they are each facing to accelerate the transition, are there opportunities to learn more of each other’s perspectives to find solutions? We will discuss how we can work better, smarter, and faster together.

Day 3
On day 3 we return to the base at Grand Hotel Oslo and look at the areas where progress is starting to be made and what it takes to accelerate it.

Participants include leaders in industry and politics, but also youth and civil society. The Forum will be structured to allow all present to constructively challenge and to find ways of supporting those speaking.

Another important part of the Forum is the side-meetings, where delegates and speakers meet bilaterally to create solutions and business opportunities.

The full Programme will be presented medio October.
